2. Are there any Strepsils lozenges that are sugar free?
If you prefer a sugar free lozenge, try our Strepsils Strawberry Free Lozenges containing Amylmetacresol 0.6mg 2, 4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol 1.2mg. Suitable for adults and children over 6 years. For a more inflamed or swollen sore throat try our Strepsils Intensive Orange Sugar Free Lozenges which contain 8.75mg flurbiprofen. Suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.
3. Are any of the Strepsils lozenges gluten free?
All Strepsils lozenges are gluten free.
4. Why is there a range of Strepsils lozenges, which one should I use?
Sore throats vary from dry and irritated to painful. Sore throats can also be accompanied with other symptoms such as nasal congestion. 5. Is Strepsils suitable for children?
Strepsils lozenges are suitable for children over 6 years old. Strepsil Intensive and Strepsils +Plus lozenges are suitable for children over 12 years of age. Strepsils +Plus Spray is suitable for adults only over 18 years of age.
6. Strepsils dosage – how many can I take in 24 hours?
Strepsil honey and lemon lozenge, Orange vitamin C lozenge, Strawberry sugar free lozenge, Sore throat block nose lozenge, Extra blackcurrant lozenge to be dissolved slowly in the mouth every 2-3 hours up to a maximum of 12 lozenges in 24 hours. Strepsils Intensive lozenges one lozenge should be sucked every 3-6 hours as required. No more than five lozenges should be taken in a 24 hour period, for a maximum of three days. Strepsils +Plus lozenges one lozenge should be sucked every 2 hours as required. No more than eight lozenges should be taken in a 24 hour period, do not exceed the stated dose. Strepsils +Plus Spray spray the affected area 2 times and swallow gently. Repeat every 2 hours as required, up to a maximum of 8 times (16 sprays) in 24 hours.
7. Where can I buy Strepsils?
Strepsils can be purchased from a range of supermarkets and pharmacies throughout Ireland, as well as some convenience stores (corner stores, petrol stations etc). Intensive Honey & Lemon lozenges, Intensive Oranges Sugar Free Lozenges, Plus Anaesthetic Lozenges and Spray can only be purchased from pharmacies.
